CHART Terms Summary
This page summarises the main service terms for CHART in plain language.
1. What CHART is
CHART is a hosted, browser-based company intelligence and analytics platform supplied by Whitestone Analytics for professional users.
It is designed for organisations working in economic development, business engagement, research, innovation and regional policy.
2. Standard service model
CHART is supplied as a subscription service with access provided through named-user accounts.
A standard subscription may include:
- access to the agreed product areas;
- setup of the agreed number of named-user accounts;
- standard product updates during the subscription term;
- standard user guidance;
- basic onboarding; and
- email-based support.
3. Important limitations
- Source data can be incomplete, delayed, corrected later or published unevenly.
- Financial coverage depends on the availability and quality of published company accounts and related extraction.
- Some ownership, control, provider, project or identity context may depend on matching or inferred relationships.
- Geographic context often relies on registered or recorded addresses and may not describe a company's main operating location.
- CHART supports professional judgement, but it is not an authoritative replacement for Companies House or another originating source.
4. Not included by default
Unless expressly agreed, the standard subscription does not include:
- bespoke consultancy or commissioned analysis;
- custom reports or customer-specific data cleaning;
- unrestricted API or database access;
- customer-hosted deployment;
- resale or redistribution rights;
- customer-specific service-level commitments; or
- customer-specific penetration testing or bespoke hosting environments.
5. Decision-support only
CHART is an analytical decision-support platform. It is not:
- legal advice;
- financial, credit or investment advice;
- a substitute for statutory due diligence; or
- a guarantee of company performance, eligibility or compliance.
Information that is material to a legal, financial, regulatory or similarly high-impact decision should be checked against the relevant authoritative source.
6. Contractual documents
Subscription scope, user quantities and commercial commitments are confirmed in the relevant quotation, order form and signed customer documents.
